The loss of legendary game show host Alex Trebek on Nov. 8 from pancreatic cancer really did feel like a gut punch to those of us in the United States.
Generations of Americans grew up on a nightly basis listening to the soothing voice of Mr. Trebek host “Jeopardy.” It was a nightly happening. Families sitting around the television, connecting during a game of trivia.
Alex Trebek’s passing at the age of 80 obviously impacted Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen. Check out the veteran pass catcher paying homage to the legend during his team’s “Monday Night Football” contest against the Chicago Bears.
Adam Thielen pays tribute to Alex Trebek
“Will will miss you, Alex.”
Theilen speaks for an entire nation and others clear across the world in providing this sentiment. From a young age, all of us dreamed of being on “Jeopardy” and showing others the geniuses we are.
Alex Trebek was an institution. He worked almost right up to his ascension to the heavens battling a disease that almost seems like a death sentence. In and of itself, that makes Mr. Trebek a legend.
I am just glad Thielen paid homage in this way. What a great look for the young man. For good measure, he scored the game’s first touchdown.
