The Dallas Cowboys’ backup quarterback situation is a complex as some starting quarterback battles currently taking place. Therefore, newly signed quarterback, Brandon Weeden, who hasn’t even met Kyle Orton yet, continues to prepare to fill in as Tony Romo’s trusty No. 2 man.

Weeden shared these comments through the team’s official website (via NFL.com).
I’m going to go about my business the same way. I haven’t met Kyle, so I can’t really speak on it, but whatever he decides to do — it’s kind of out of my control. So what I’m worried about is, if I’m running with the twos out there, do my job to make the twos better. I want to make the team better any way I can, so it doesn’t change my mindset or the way I feel about it.
With Orton a no-show thus far at any of the Dallas Cowboys’ offseason team activities and rumors of his possible retirement from the NFL, Weeden continues to train with his new team in the case he is actually called to starting duty in 2014. However, all signs point towards Romo resuming his starting role as it appears he is recovering from his back surgery just fine. So as usual, Weeden looks to take his typical backseat in 2014.

It reminds me of the old saying, “always a bridesmaid and never the bride”.
"Always a bridesmaid, never a bride" I've been a bridesmaid 6 times😂🔫
