It’s only Opening Day, but Oakland Athletics designated hitter Khris Davis is in mid-season form.
Davis — who already had a homer in Oakland’s two-game series against the Seattle Mariners in Japan — launched a towering home run to left field against former teammate, Trevor Cahill.
Cahill made a big mistake there. As powerful as he is, David is prone to the strikeout. A 1-2 pitch should not be near the strike zone, especially up.
Davis made him pay dearly for the error. We don’t see many hit the second deck in Oakland.
