The Arizona Diamondbacks have upgraded their outfield. Arizona struck a deal with the Detroit Tigers, landing J.D. Martinez.
Jon Morosi of Fox Sports reported that the deal was close and it was later confirmed by the Tigers themselves.
The #Tigers have acquired INF's Dawel Lugo, Sergio Alcantara & Jose King from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for OF J.D. Martinez.

Martinez was pulled from Monday’s game. Still, before the reports of the trade came in, Martinez was in the lineup that the Tigers announced for Tuesday’s contest.
Martinez was slashing at .305/.388/.630 for Detroit with 16 home runs. This trade definitively identifies the Tigers are sellers. So, the likes of Justin Verlander, Victor Martinez and even Miguel Cabrera could certainly on the move next.
