Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron mulling his future in the NFL

The Miami Dolphins will be without starting tight end Jordan Cameron for the third consecutive game.

Cameron suffered a concussion earlier this year, his fourth in as many years. And he’s now reportedly deciding whether to continue his NFL career.

“There is concern within the Dolphins that the player could be out an extended period as he mulls his NFL future,” the Miami Herald’s Armondo Salguero reported on Wednesday.

The potential of long-term effects from brain-related injuries have led to multiple NFL players calling it quits in their prime.

Cameron would be no different if he decided to hang up his cleats. Suffering four concussions in as many years will make a player think twice about continuing his career.

Cameron, 28, earned a Pro Bowl appearance with the Cleveland Browns back in 2013. But he’s been unable to remain healthy since.

He signed a two-year, $15 million contract with the Dolphins back in March of 2015.
