Report: Stedman Bailey walking, talking after two gunshots to head

According to a report from Tony Fleming, the agent of wide receiver Stedman Bailey, the St. Louis Rams receiver is making major progress after being shot in the head twice on Nov. 25.

Per TMZ Sports, Fleming said Bailey is “getting back to himself,” walking and talking again. Bailey is reportedly out of the intensive care unit but remains in the hospital undergoing special therapy in a Florida facility.

“He is getting his strength back and just taking it one day at a time. He is scheduled to be released out of the hospital on the 23rd.”

Fleming added that Bailey is appreciative of the support that his team has given him, and that the organization is in constant contact with his doctors. Several members of the Rams have also come to visit Bailey at the hospital.

Bailey will endure a long path of physical therapy and healing, but the report suggests the 25-year-old is determined to get back to playing football when he is physically able to do so.

Not that Bailey was expected to return in 2015, but the Rams have placed Bailey — who played in eight games this season — on injured reserve.
