Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons looked like he was about ready to do his best Bobby Boucher impersonation Sunday. That is, if his pre-game attire had anything to say about it.

Hours ahead of the Cowboys’ NFC wild-card game against the Green Bay Packers, Parsons arrived at AT&T Stadium wearing a Bobby Boucher jersey from the movie “The Waterboy.”

Comedian Adam Sandler played the role of Boucher in “The Waterboy,” a 1998 comedy in which a socially awkward man, serving as a water boy for a fictitious college football team, becomes a maniacal star linebacker who makes highlight-reel tackles all over the football field.

Micah Parsons has often looked like a real-life Bobby Boucher, chasing quarterbacks and ball carriers all over the field with speed, power and explosiveness.

Parsons, who was named a second-team All-Pro this season, is among the NFL leaders in sacks (14) and tackles for loss (18) and is considered one of the leading candidates for the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award.

The third-year pro, who’s been invited to three straight Pro Bowls, is the clear leader of the Cowboys’ defense, which ranks fifth in the NFL. Micah Parsons was the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021.
