It’s a move that most expected following yet another disappointing and drama-filled season in New York. The Mets announced on Thursday that they have fired manager Mickey Callaway after just two seasons.
While Callaway did lead New York to 86 wins, his in-game managing style left a lot to be desired. There were calls for his head even prior to the All-Star Break.
