Following Sunday’s gut-wrenching loss to the Chicago Cubs, New York Mets manager Mickey Callaway yelled profanities at a reporter, and pitcher Jason Vargas threatened to knock the same reporter out.

It was just the latest event in what’s become an increasingly tumultuous organization. And, despite some recent firings within the coaching staff, the trouble appears quite clearly to be emanating from the top.

As news of this latest explosive development circulated on social media, many fans, and analysts, called for the Mets to once and for all fire Mickey Callaway.

At this point, the Mets may have no other choice but to fire Mickey Callaway.
