Top MVP candidate James Harden did not have his best performance for the Houston Rockets in a blowout loss to Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Harden shot just 9-of-26 from the field and netted 23 points. That’s not exactly what we’d call an efficient performance. Making matters even more disturbing is that Harden was schooled by his counterpart in Milwaukee, fellow guard Eric Bledsoe.
In a game that pitted the NBA’s top-two MVP candidates against one another, Giannis got the best of his fellow star. He put up 19 points and 14 boards en route to helping Milwaukee to a 108-94 home win over Houston.
Following the game, Milwaukee’s social media team decided to absolutely troll Harden and the Rockets.
As you can tell, the Bucks photoshopped a picture of Rockets forward P.J. Tucker wearing a Harden for MVP sweatshirt with the Greek Freak.
That’s actually one heck of an editing job. It also adds to the debate regarding who this season’s MVP is.
While Harden continues to put up some ridiculous numbers, Giannis and the Bucks are going to finish with the Association’s best record. It promises to be a close final vote.
For now, the Bucks are riding high following a wire-to-wire win over Harden and the Rockets.
