Former Las Vegas Raiders first-round pick Damon Arnette has found himself in the news for all he wrong reasons since last suiting up back in 2021.
The cornerback and Ohio State product has been arrested multiple times since Vegas moved on from him after less than two seasons. We can now add more to his growing list of off-field issues.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the 27-year-old Arnette was arrested back in January on charges of possessing methamphetamine and unlawful carrying of a firearm. Per the report, Arnette’s arrest came in Texas.
It was back in May of 2023 that Arnette was arrested on assault and gun charges. He ultimately entered a guilty plea and was hoping for a return to the NFL. That’s obviously now not likely to be in the cards.
Damon Arnette stats (NFL): 23 solo tackles in 13 games
Arnette was released by the Raiders back in November of 2021 after a string of off-field issues. He was the subject of a lawsuit for an alleged hit-and-run back in 2020. Shortly after, videos emerged on social media of Arnette waving a gun and threatening to kill someone. That was pretty much the end of the line for him in Vegas.
