Arguably no team has made a bigger splash since the 2024 NFL season ended than the Chicago Bears. Not only have they overhauled the coaching staff, hiring the most sought-after candidate in the league in Ben Johnson. But they’ve also added multiple Pro Bolwers and even an All-Pro.
Yet, after seeing how aggressive Bears general manager Ryan Poles has been in making trades, it’s possible Chicago has another sizable move up their sleeves.

Chicago Bears could trade up for top prospect in 2025 NFL Draft

The Chicago Bears have done a fine job addressing some of their most urgent needs this offseason. Yet, after a disappointing 5-12 season in 2024, the Bears may want to take every step they can to become a contender in 2025.
One way Chicago could potentially complete their offseason is by staying aggressive during the 2025 NFL Draft, where they hold the 10th overall pick in the first round.
Recently, ESPN’s NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller suggested the Bears could be a team that targets a trade up in the first round.
“After shoring up the interior of the offensive line and adding two trench players on defense in edge Dayo Odeyingbo and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, the Bears have checked off their major roster needs. At pick No. 10, Chicago could go after Jeanty if he’s on the board or might consider a receiver to replace free agent Keenan Allen.

Even a trade down the board to acquire more draft picks shouldn’t be ruled out. And how about this scenario: With three picks in the top 50, could the Bears trade up the board if a player such as Abdul Carter or Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham slips?”
Abdul Carter is one of the top prospects in the draft class. Many believe he could be in play to be the top player selected. Mason Graham is another who’s viewed as a top-five draft pick. Needless to say, if the Bears could land either pass-rusher, their defense could potentially take a sizable leap forward for years to come.
