OK, so you own an NFL team and you’re looking for a coach. Let’s say you’re the Atlanta Falcons, for instance, and you want to bring in the guy with the best pedigree to fire up the fan base.
You want to turn around the recent struggles and win big! Who is the guy to do that?
So you reach out to Bill Belichick. Seems like a good choice. He has won more Super Bowls as a coach than anyone. The run he had as coach of the New England Patriots will likely never again be matched. He can come in and make your team an instant contender.
So, with that in mind, should you hire Belichick as your coach? If you do, make sure he brings Tom Brady in as the quarterback.

Bill Belichick wasn’t the same coach without Tom Brady
Belichick has a record as the coach of the Patriots with Brady was 219-64. Without Brady, his record was 47-57.
Even worse, Belichick’s overall record without Brady, which includes his five years with the Cleveland Browns, is 83-101. That .451 winning percentage puts him at the bottom of the list of NFL coaches who have coached a minimum of 150 games (h/t to CBS for that).

So, is Belichick really the best choice?
