The 2020 NFL season is fast approaching and with training camp now underway across the league, another season of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” is about to drop. While the trailer might have lacked clues about the latest season, a clip released by NFL Films on Monday night provided NFL fans with a unique glimpse inside Sean McVay’s coaches meeting.
We already knew this season would be different because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Between the NFL’s new safety protocols that eliminate preseason games, cut down on practices and locker room redesigns.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff also provided a preview for how close HBO’s cameras will be during COVID-19 testing. But that’s not the only change we’ll see as McVay proved in a meeting with coaches.
While we might have all gotten used to seeing people wear masks in public, it’s strange to see an NFL coach having a plastic face shield. Meanwhile, every coach in the meeting room is kept six-plus feet apart.
One thing is for certain, the 2020 NFL season and this year’s version of “Hard Knocks” will be unlike anything we’ve watched before.
The 2020 season of “Hard Knocks” will feature the Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, marking the first time two teams will be showcased on the show. The latest season will debut on Tuesday, Aug. 11 on HBO at 10 p.m. ET.
