Not for the first time this season, New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia has been placed on the 10-day injured list for right knee inflammation.
In some ways, it’s been a banner year for the future Hall of Famer, who joined an exclusive club recently following his 3,000th career strikeout.
Overall, however, the 39-year-old Sabathia has labored on the mound more often than not. So far this season, pitching in 90.1 innings, Sabathia has an ERA of 4.78 with 82 strikeouts and 30 walks on record.
