MLB to honor CC Sabathia at 2019 All-Star Game

As New York Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia’s career comes to an end, MLB will honor the six-time All-Star where his career all began.

On Friday, MLB announced it will honor Sabathia at the 2019 All-Star Game in Cleveland to mark the end to his memorable 19-year MLB career.

The 38-year-old started his MLB career with the Cleveland Indians and spent the first eight years being a workhorse in Cleveland’s rotation before being traded to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Now more than a decade after he last pitched for the Indians, MLB is bringing him back to the city to thank him for his years of service in different communities and his tremendous MLB career.

It’s a great move my MLB to honor one of the game’s most recognized pitchers for nearly 20 years and Sabathia deserves the loud reception and appreciation he will likely receive.
