The Denver Broncos might very well move on from their most experienced and talented cornerback here soon.
One day after it was reported that Pro Bowl corner Chris Harris has demanded either a pay raise or to be traded, the veteran is noting that he believes something will happen here soon.
Given how rocky the relationship has been between Harris and the Broncos’ brass, this could easily mean that a trade is imminent.
At issue here is Harris’ salary. Despite being one of the best slot corners in the NFL, Harris doesn’t match up with his counterparts when it comes to salary.
The 29-year-old Harris is entering the final season of a five-year, $42.5 million contract he signed with Denver back in 2014.
If something were to happen on this front, it would likely happen some time during the 2019 NFL Draft, starting Thursday in Nashville.
