Broncos Pro Bowler Chris Harris requests trade, per report

A report earlier on Tuesday noted that teams were interested in trading for Denver Broncos four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Chris Harris.

While said report noted that Harris was not actively on the trade block, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is noting that he has indeed demanded a trade.

Harris, 29, remains one of the most underrated defensive players in the game. He’s recorded 80 passes defended and 19 interceptions in eight NFL seasons, yielding a sub 80 passer rating when targeted.

Harris’ issues with Denver is all about money. His average annual salary of $8.5 million makes the cornerback one of the most underpaid players in the NFL.

Whether Denver does indeed move Harris remains to be seen. It would likely take place during the three-day NFL Draft later in the week.
