The two-time defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors are mired in controversy. It’s the first time we’ve seen this team engulfed in drama since Steve Kerr took over as head coach.
It stems from a confrontation between All-Star teammates Kevin Durant and Draymond Green back on Monday night. The end result was Green being suspended for one game and a whole lot of hurt feelings in Oakland.
Taking on the Rockets in Houston Thursday night, Green’s return to action didn’t go swimmingly. He finished with exactly zero points and five turnovers. Meanwhile, Golden State couldn’t hang with the Rockets — losing by the score of 107-86.
Needless to say, NBA fans all around social media were excited about this outcome.

#Warriors scoring 86 points isn’t exactly “moving forward”. That’s one of the worst efforts of the Kerr era. pic.twitter.com/vM8xiEVbsg
