The Buffalo Bills already lost one starting offensive lineman to a career-ending injury this offseason, and now Richie Incognito has made it clear he will no longer play in the NFL.
According to Peter King of the MMQB, the 34-year-old Incognito was “strongly considering” retirement.
Then this morning, Incognito, who used Twitter to fire his representation in early April, directed a tweet at the NFLPA that he’s “done.”
Then a bit later he confirmed he’s retiring, citing health issues.
@68INCOGNITO just told me the following: "I'm, done. That's it. It's been a long career. Went to the doctor. My liver and kidneys are shutting down. The stress is killing me. It's just about doing what's right. I just want to be in the Hall of Fame." Full story to come.

The Bills will miss Incognito in 2018. Longtime center Eric Wood retired for medical reasons, so they are without two members of a formidable interior group.
It’s going to be a long offseason.
