Ever since Malcolm Butler was shut down by Bill Belichick right before Super Bowl LII, he’s received a ton of support from his peers around the league, including his own teammates.
Butler posted on social media Tuesday, declaring he absolutely did not do the things that have been floated as reasons why he was benched. Now he’s hearing from a player who signed for big money last year to join the up-and-coming San Francisco 49ers, Pierre Garcon.
Tweeting to Butler, Garcon not only promoted the Niners (and their huge vault of money), he also ripped Belichick in the process.
Yo yo @Mac_BZ come to The Bay. @49ers we got CAP SPACE, a QB and the best receivers in the division are on your team. You won’t have to worry about the head coach being all up in the videos. All in the way and stuff. One goal in mind over here. #SB53 Let’s Get It #49erFaithful

Butler would be a great fit in San Francisco. He’s not a No. 1 corner but is no slouch, either. The 49ers have a very promising young secondary that could use a scrappy player of Butler’s caliber.
Chances are, unless some information comes out that hurts Butler between now and March when free agency starts, he’ll be courted by many others as well.
