Good news, Buffalo Bills fans. Running back Jonathan Williams, who was found not guilty on DWI charges early in June, reportedly won’t be suspended by the NFL.

Williams, interestingly enough, actually admitted to the police officer who pulled him over last year that he had consumed a 40-ounce beer before driving. However, he pleaded with that officer not to arrest him (watch here) at the time and refused a breathalyzer test.
In the end, the prosecution on Williams’ case couldn’t present enough evidence to prove he had been over the legal limit when he was pulled over.
Originally a fifth-round pick by the Bills in the 2016 NFL Draft, Williams carried the ball 27 times for 94 yards and one touchdown last year in a reserve role. Now that Mike Gillislee is with the New England Patriots, Williams should have a big opportunity in front of him to carve out a bigger role in 2017.
