Ron Rivera: ‘No timetable’ on Luke Kuechly return from concussion

Luke Kuechly

The Carolina Panthers could potentially be without star inside linebacker Luke Kuechly for some time after he suffered a scary concussion last Thursday against the New Orleans Saints.

On Monday, head coach Ron Rivera said “there is no timetable” for Kuechly’s recovery.

The dynamic linebacker broke down in tears after the hit that concussed him last week. It was clear that he was out of sorts, and it wasn’t surprising to hear Sunday morning that he is considering a second opinion and was looking for answers about what to do going forward (more on that here).

Kuechly also suffered a scary concussion at the beginning of the 2015 season that had him out multiple games. At this point, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if he ended up missing the rest of the season, or more.

Health is much more important than wins and losses. It’s more important than glory on the gridiron. With that in mind, we wish Kuechly the best as he looks into what is best for him and his family going forward.
