XFL ticket sales already dwarfing the failed AAF

XFL

After just one week of action, ticket sales make it clear that the American public is much more excited about the XFL than it was for the now defunct AAF.

Ticket prices jumped significantly for XFL Week 2, and now a new report from TickPick, a no-fee secondary ticket marketplace, shines an even brighter light on how much interest there is for the XFL.

So, how much more interest is there in XFL games than the AAF from last year? Per the report, “ticket purchase orders for Weeks 1 and 2 of the XFL are a massive 1,427% higher than the first two weeks of last year’s AAF,” with the Dallas Renegades and D.C. Defenders the early favorites among fans.

That’s insane, folks.

The AAF actually got off to a good start before the money dried up and the league filed for bankruptcy midway through its one and only season.

So, the fact that the XFL, which has significantly more reliable financial backing than the AAF, is already garnering this much interest when it comes to the bottom line can only bode well for the rebooted Vince McMahon project.
