WATCH: Saints’ DT Shy Tuttle makes incredible INT, stiff arms Matt Ryan to the ground

New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Chargers

Defensive tackles rarely get an opportunity to make highlight plays. So when New Orleans Saints rookie Shy Tuttle got his chance, he took advantage on Sunday with an incredible interception and a nasty stiff arm on Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.

Tuttle, an undrafted rookie out of Tennessee, made an incredible one-handed deflection of Ryan’s pass then immediately before catching it in his body for the interception.

Once he had the ball in his hands, Tuttle started running and when Ryan got in his way, the rookie defensive tackle unleashed a stiff arm to Ryan’s face to send him flying to the ground.

It already would have been a highlight play if Tuttle simply made the interception. For the 300-pound tackle to then return it and destroy Ryan one more time with the powerful stiff arm, made this one of the highlights of the year.
