NFL teams got creative on Wednesday, the start of the new league year. Signings and trades can’t become official until players pass physicals. Given the pandemic plaguing the United States and the rest of the world right now, said physicals are hard to come by.
It’s in this that teams are finding awesome ways to announce that they have signed a player or made a trade.
That now includes the best one yet. Check out the Los Angeles Rams report that they have signed former Detroit Lions defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson. Their source? Mr. Robinson himself.
This is absolutely brilliant on so many levels. During these most difficult of times, it’s nice to have a laugh every once in a while.
As it relates to Robinson’s contract, he’s going to earn $17 million over two seasons with Los Angeles. He has every reason to be smiling right now.
