The good news is Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles has returned to practice and actually looks fairly solid. The not-so-good news is Charles could split carries with Knile Davis in Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.

Charles certainly has a quick-healing ankle as he is looking quite agile in his practice moves. However, Davis took the first couple of snaps with the first team, and Charles took the next ones. It could just be a precaution, but Davis practicing with the first team would indicate that the Chiefs plan to split the duties between the two backs this Sunday.

Charles possibly returning is fabulous for the Chiefs who will be fighting for their first win of the season. From a fantasy football perspective, this is not an ideal situation if you own either Charles or Davis, or both for that matter. Should the carries be divided, either player should only be considered as a flex position at best.
