A combination of rain and wind starting coming in something fierce during the Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants game at Wrigley Field on Tuesday evening. The Cubs grounds crew didn’t seem too prepared for the conditions. And the comedy that came with it was pretty awesome.
As you can imagine, jokes came in left and right on social media.
When your grounds crew is more embarrassing than your 54-70 record, you've got real problems… #Cubs pic.twitter.com/LAVz0SH5Pa

Some may call this an embarrassing display (looks at the tweet above), but let’s see you run on to the field with the tarp and have success in those conditions. In fact, maybe this could be an entirely new #ALSIceBucketChallenge.
As it relates to the Cubs, this is the last thing they need. A 54-70 team doesn’t really want to sit around in the clubhouse for hours waiting for a game to get going again.
As of a little after 11 pm et the game was still in delay with the Cubs leading 2-0.
We also want to think Ann Frazier for the You Yube video with Yakety Sax playing in the background. Can’t get much better than that.
