WATCH: Chiefs’ Harrison Butker hitting 71-yard FG in warmups

We already knew that the elevation would play a major role in Mexico City as the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers do battle Monday night.

What we didn’t know is that each team might be in field goal position after crossing its own 40-yard line.

Check out Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker connecting on a 71-yard field goal during warmups prior to the game.

That’s simply some insane stuff right there.

For the record, the NFL record for the longest field goal currently sits at 64 yards by former Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater. That, too, was done in the elevation of Mile High in Denver.

This is definitely something to pay attention to as the game gets going.
