UFC 249 was a massive hit. As the only live-sporting event on television Saturday night, it attracted a ton of action, both in terms of eyes on the screen and bets laid down.
UFC 249 smashed betting records
According to Bovada, UFC 249 was by far the most-bet UFC event in the history of the sport.

Bovada shared that UFC 249 garnered 15% more bets than the previous top event (UFC 229). And according to the company, UFC 249 had roughly the same amount of bets you’d see from an NFL conference championship game.
The main event — Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje — was the third-most bet event in UFC history. The only two fights that have done better individually were both headlined by none other than Conor McGregor.
The best part? UFC 249 delivered an outstanding slate of fights that did not disappoint.
