In what seemed to be an inevitable conclusion to this entire mess, the Cleveland Browns fired embattled head coach Hue Jackson on Monday after less than three seasons with the team.
The firing comes after Cleveland was blown out by the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday and following a 2-5-1 start to the season. Historically bad from a win-loss perspective, Jackson posted a 3-36-1 record as the Browns’ head coach.
For many fans in Ohio, this firing comes a bit too late. Unlike previous seasons, the Browns have been competitive through the first eight weeks of the 2018 campaign, seeing half their games go to overtime.
But Jackson’s inability to do anything from an in-game coaching standpoint led many to believe he should have been fired long before Monday.
It’s in this that we check in on the best reactions to this firing from Twitterverse.
My sources were a week early, Hue Jackson fired today. On another note, Terry Francona turns off his cell phone and disconnects his home phone.

I don’t even judge Hue Jackson first two years. Team was horrible
This year you saw great things.
Should’ve beat Steelers Saints & Raiders.I just don’t know what would’ve saved his job . Going undefeated? That’s unfair for a losing culture

Why fire Hue Jackson now?
You get a massive head start on identifying and interviewing candidates to replace him.
Smart move by the Browns.

Garrett just won something.
He had been the favorite to be the first coach fired this season among several betting sites.
Hue Jackson is out in Cleveland. Hue is the second Cleveland coach to be fired in the last 2 days, with Tyron Lue catching it with the Cavs.#LeBronsFault
