Titans trade up to No. 8 for Jack Conklin

The Tennessee Titans made their second huge 2016 NFL Draft move by trading from No. 15 up to No. 8 for offensive lineman Jack Conklin out of Michigan State.

There were rumors all week that Tennessee was looking to move back up into the top 10 after their blockbuster trade with the Los Angeles Rams.

In addition to picking up sss the Titans gave up a third rounder this year and next year’s second-round pick, per Field Yates of ESPN.

Conklin can play either tackle spot, and he can also slide inside to play guard. He’ll likely be slotted into the left tackle slot to protect Marcus Mariota’s blind side from Day 1.

This is another smart move by new general manager Jon Robinson, who has the team headed in the right direction.
