However, with over two minutes left in the game things took a turn for the worst. As the Titans looked to regain the lead, quarterback Will Levis threw a deep pass to 2022 first-round pick Treylon Burks. The receiver made a leap for the ball but the attempt was unsuccessful.

In the process of falling to the turf, he smashed his head on the grass and lay prone on the ground until medical staff came to check on him. He was slowly moved to a stretcher as technicians took great care in the event it might be a spinal injury.

Burks was placed on a cart and driven off the field. However, while being taken to the locker room, the former Arkansas star gave the crowd a thumbs-up that was caught on cameras. As he was taken to an ambulance, reports during the TNF broadcast revealed that he had movement in all his extremities.

Following the scary situations with Damar Hamlin and Tua Tagovailoa last season, there are always flashback moments to the worst-case scenario for NFL fans. However, the fact that there were positive signs immediately after the injury is reason to hope the Tennessee Titans receiver will be okay.
