Dallas Stars coach Peter DeBoer will be behind the bench for his third NHL All-Star Game when he guides the Central Division into competition in Sunrise, Fla.
Carolina Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour will oversee the Metropolitan Division, while Jim Montgomery of the Boston Bruins (Atlantic) and Bruce Cassidy of the Vegas Golden Knights (Pacific) will coach their respective divisions at the event on Feb. 4.
The four coaches received the honor after their respective teams recorded the highest points percentage through Wednesday.
Brind’Amour, a 2021 Jack Adams Award winner as the coach of the year, will be coaching his second All-Star Game after standing behind the bench last season.
Montgomery will be coaching his first All-Star Game after guiding the Bruins (32-4-4, 68 points) to the best record in the league. He was hired by Boston on July 1 to replace Cassidy, who will be making his second coaching appearance in the All-Star Game.
Cassidy replaced DeBoer in Vegas.
The All-Star Game features a three-game tournament played in a 3-on-3 format.
