There had been reports earlier this offseason that Lynch wasn’t happy with his contract and wanted to discuss a potential extension with the Seahawks. It now appears that he’s willing to hold out of camp until a new contract is agreed to.
Lynch, who racked up 1,257 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns for the defending Super Bowl champs last year, is set to make $5.5 million this upcoming season. He is signed through the 2015 campaign.
At 28 years old, it’s unknown whether Seattle would agree to a long-term extension with the enigmatic running back at this point.
