Saints’ Brandin Cooks Out for a Month With Broken Thumb

To add to the mix of the New Orleans Saints’ struggles, news is breaking that they will be without rookie wide receiver Brandin Cooks for about one month due to a broken thumb he suffered in Sunday’s loss to Cincinnati.

Cooks has been a bright spot in the Saints’ offense this season, racking up a total of 550 yards and four touchdowns so far this year. With the offense in disarray and the team losing their last two games at home, the Saints enter Week 12 with a 4-6 record.

In Cooks’ absence, the team will rely more heavily upon wide receivers Robert Meachem, Joe Morgan and Kenny Stills.

Next up for the Saints in Week 12 is yet another home game against the Baltimore Ravens where the team shall try to end their disappointing two-game losing streak.
