Sources confirm to The Athletic: #WhiteSox’s Welington Castillo will be suspended 80 games for using a PED (not a steroid) in violation of baseball’s Joint Drug Agreement. https://t.co/ZE97Z7NrTp

Castillo is hitting .270/.314/.477 with six home runs on the season for Chicago.
The suspension also keeps Castillo from participating in this season’s playoffs. While that’s not likely to be an issue for the White Sox, that will certainly have a negative impact on Castillo’s potential trade value as the trade deadline approaches.
