On the same day that Philip Rivers officially left the Los Angeles Chargers after 16 seasons, another longtime player is changing addresses.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former Dallas Cowboys star tight end Jason Witten has signed a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The short-term deal could end up being worth $4.75 million for the 2020 season.

Witten, 37, returned to the Cowboys last season after a one-year hiatus to broadcast “Monday Night Football” for ESPN. All said, the 11-time Pro Bowler spent 16 seasons in Big D.

Witten’s departure from Dallas is not a surprise. The fact that he signed with a Raiders team that already boasts star tight end Darren Waller is certainly a surprise.
