The New York Jets were thrown for a loop earlier this week when young quarterback Sam Darnold was diagnosed with Mononucleosis.
Darnold has since been quarantined from the team and is facing a multi-week absence.
Though, there might be some good news on this front. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that Darnold is already starting to feel better and could return in time for New York’s Week 5 outing against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Jets have a Week 4 bye. If Darnold is able to return the following week, he’d only miss games against the Browns and Patriots.
This is decent news for the Jets. It also comes on the same day that star defenders Quinnen Williams and C.J. Mosley have been ruled out for Monday night’s game against Cleveland.
