The Atlanta Hawks acquired Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey in a three-team deal involving the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, ESPN reported.
The Warriors traded former No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman to the Pistons for Bey, then sent Bey to the Hawks for a package of five second-round draft picks, per the report.
Bey, 23, is averaging 14.8 points and 4.7 rebounds in 52 games (30 starts) this season. He has career averages of 14.5 points and 4.9 boards in 204 games (165 starts) since Detroit drafted him in the first round in 2020.
The oft-injured Wiseman, a 7-foot center, has appeared in only 60 games since he went No. 2 overall in the 2020 draft behind top pick Anthony Edwards. Wiseman missed all of last season because of a torn meniscus in his right knee.
Wiseman, 21, is averaging 6.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 12.5 minutes in 21 games off the Golden State bench this season. Those numbers are way down from his 2020-21 rookie stats of 11.5 points and 5.8 boards in 39 games (27 starts).
