This latest incident could very well be the nail in the coffin of Rogers’ NFL career.
Some of you already know Rogers’ off-field story .
While at Tennessee, Rogers admitted to failing three drug tests and was suspended by the football program prior to the start of the 2012 season. After the suspension, Rogers transferred to Tennessee Tech.
Despite performing extremely well at the 2013 NFL scouting combine, Rogers went undrafted. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills immediately after the draft but the team released him shortly thereafter. Catching on with the Indianapolis Colts last season, Rogers showed flashes of brilliance in limited playing time.
As it relates to Loucheiz Purifoy, he also went undrafted after being popped with possession of marijuana and a drug known as “bath salts.” This happened the month before the 2014 NFL draft, which caused Purifoy to fall to undrafted free agent status.
