In news that promises to have wide-ranging ramifications, Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino has apparently sued the National Football League over concussions.
According to the LA Times, Marino filed a suit in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia last week.
The 18-page complaint alleges the NFL concealed information about football-related brain injuries and misled players, claims that are similar to those made in more than 300 related lawsuits. The NFL has repeatedly denied such claims.
This particular suit includes Marino and 14 other former NFL players. This has been a continuing issue for the NFL and one of its most popular Hall of Famers joining litigation could prove worrisome.
