During Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals, it was apparent that Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota was not right physically. After the game, coach Mike Mularkey confirmed his quarterback was playing through a knee injury.

Frankly, it’s hard to figure out why he was kept in the game. If Mariota was playing well despite the injury, it’d be easier to understand. But that was not the case. In fact, Mariota had one of the worst games of his career.
He was 16-for-31 and passed for only 159 yards. More problematic for the normally accurate quarterback was that Mariota threw two interceptions and no touchdowns.
Despite not allowing a touchdown to the Cardinals, the Titans lost the game 12-7 and fell to 8-5.
