It’s not a secret that the Carolina Panthers are looking for help at wide receiver this offseason. The team will surely be linked to the likes of Allen Robinson and Sammy Watkins once free agency opens next week. There’s also no reason to believe Carolina won’t look to add a receiver early in April’s draft.
If it were up to Panthers quarterback and former NFL MVP Cam Newton, the team would add all of the receivers…almost literally.
Just ask Cam himself.

More than wanting to play general manger for a bit here, Newton is making it known he’s all about Carolina upgrading at a position that struggled last season.
Outside of Devin Funchess, Panthers receivers caught just 87 passes last season. That’s just not going to cut it.
There’s always been this group fans and media personalities that firmly believe Carolina needs to get Cam more help. Once the team traded Kelvin Benjamin this past October, that was taken to a whole new level. Now, the quarterback is making it clear he wants more talented receivers.
Free Cam. Help Cam. Save Cam.
Whatever superlatives we want to use, it’s apparent that the Panthers themselves are all about that action this offseason. That has to be music to the ears of Mr. Newton himself.
