New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson was ruled out after aggravating his left foot injury in the first half of the Knicks’ road game against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night.
Brunson missed two games with the injury before returning to the lineup against the Kings. He scored 19 points in 19 first-half minutes against Sacramento but was ruled out of the contest just as the second half was about to commence.
Brunson entered the game with career-best averages of 23.9 points and 6.2 assists in 61 contests. The former backup to Luka Doncic with the Dallas Mavericks has been a standout in his first season in New York.
New York’s next game is Saturday at the Los Angeles Clippers.
