Hope Solo, never afraid to stir the pot or create controversy, made an inflammatory comment after Team USA lost to Sweden in the quarterfinals at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The American women failed to finish on the podium after claiming gold in London and making the gold-medal game the past five Olympics. They lost to Sweden after falling 4-3 in a penalty-kick shootout after the game concluded on a 1-1 tie.
Needless to say, Solo wasn’t pleased with the final result. She did play brilliantly, but there is something to be said about losing with grace.
