It was just a few years back that Alterraun Verner was among the NFL’s best play-making cornerbacks.
The UCLA product earned a Pro Bowl appearance with the Tennessee Titans back in 2013 after recording 22 passes defended and five interceptions. This earned him a lucrative free-agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Unfortunately, Verner’s career took a turn in Tampa. He last suited up in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins back in 2017. The 30-year-old Verner has now called it quits on his career.

A fourth-round pick back in 2010, Verner finishes his NFL career having recorded 422 tackles, 75 passes defended and 15 interceptions.
After not seeing the field last season, it’s certainly a quiet way for Verner to go out. That’s for sure.
