Mo’ne Davis took the world by storm when she became the face of Little League baseball. The 13-year-old became the first girl to pitch a shutout in regional play and, since then, the phenom has become quite popular.
She’s also recently taken on another avenue in addition to her celebrity status. Davis plans on making her story into a motion picture, and Joey Casselberry had something to say about it.
The former baseball player at Bloomsburg University took to Twitter and made a disgusting remark about Mo’ne.
Dayn Perry of CBS Sports says he used the word “former” because Casselberry was dismissed from the Bloomsburg baseball team.
The Bloomsberg Huskies took to Twitter and apologized for what was said:
Bloomsburg Univ is deeply saddened by what was written about #MoneDavis by one of our student-athletes. His words do not represent us.
We take matter very seriously; addressed the issue with the student-athlete (who has been dismissed from team), coach, and the team.
Perry added Casselberry’s stats to the end of his article, but I quite honestly don’t feel like Bloomsberg deserves to be spoken about any more than has already been discussed.
