The hits keep coming for the San Diego Chargers. On the same day that Joey Bosa’s contract situation seems to have taken another bad turn, the team found out that defensive tackle Damion Square has been suspended four games.
#Chargers DL Damion Square is suspended for the first four games of the season for violating NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse

As Rapoport notes, the suspension comes under the guise of the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
Square, 27, started one game for the Chargers a season ago. He recorded a combined six tackles and a fumble recovery.
While the Chargers aren’t relying on Square to be a starter this season, he was slated to play a major role as a reserve defensive tackle. It was an area that was especially thin in San Diego a season ago.
