At some point over the past few days, a viral photo emerged of the alleged Michigan signal-stealing staffer Connor Stalions being present along the sidelines of a Central Michigan Chippewas football game. In the picture, Stalions (or whoever that is), is seen wearing dark glasses (despite it being a night game) while wearing Central Michigan gear, indicating he’s a member of the football program.
But it seems that no one really knows who this unnamed individual on Central Michigan’s sidelines is. Meanwhile, Central Michigan is conducting a full investigation into the matter.
With the Chippewas in action on Tuesday night, it gave head coach Jim McElwain a chance to comment on the whole fiasco, and he didn’t hold back.
“We obviously are aware of a picture floating around with the sign stealer guy. Our people are doing everything they can to get to the bottom of it. We were totally unaware of it. I certainly don’t condone it in any way, shape or form. I do know that his name was on none of the passes that were let out. We keep tracing it back and tracing it back and try to figure it out. It’s in good hands with our people. There’s no place in football for that.”

At this point, there’s no telling where the Michigan investigation will turn next, but chances are this is far from the last we’ll hear about it.
